The Y has taught the joy of swimming to hundreds of youth and adults in Cook County. Elements taught include personal safety, skill development, personal growth, water sports, and rescue. We offer programs year-round for all ages and levels with small student-to-instructor ratios.
YMCAs have played a significant role in the history of sports in America. YMCAs invented basketball, volleyball and racquetball. At the Cook County YMCA, we offer many year round fitness and youth or adult sports programs and leagues including volleyball, gymnastics, competitive swimming, dance, soccer, and more.
